Atlanta, Georgia - (The Hosting News) - December 17, 2007 - Atlanta-based datacenter, Global Net Access (GNAX), is slated to complete its addition of Quest, to the other 7 Tier 1 bandwidth providers on its GOLD data network, by January 1st, 2008.
By deploying multiple data bandwidth providers though the Avaya Route Science Route Optimizer, GNAX is able to provide its Atlanta customers bandwidth that depending on the type of data, chooses the best, most stable, and fastest route. Typical datacenters deploy customers using the aging BGP4 technology, which determines the route for data to take based solely on the number of providers the data must travel though.
GNAX's datacenter bandwidth provides faster speeds by scanning all possible routes and using a custom set matrix depending on type of traffic to determine what is important to that traffic. Atlanta Datacenter customers who choose GNAX should see an improvement on speeds to customers central to the Quest network.

Recently, GNAX announced the addition of a gigabit connection from Sprint to the GOLD network, which is anticipated to increase the performance and continue to solidify the enterprise.
The GNAX network is available in the Atlanta market with on-net connectivity at the AtlantaNAP and at TELX as well as loop connectivity to all of Atlanta metro region. It is route optimized by the avaya route science platform and runs on Cisco routers.
Earlier this year, GNAX, along with TranxactGlobal, and NetDepot, are offering private load balancers, based on the Foundry Server Iron Load Balancer product. According to the company, servers may be hooked into the unit, in order to allow for a complete load balanced solution. In addition, GNAX has added a gigabit connection to the silver network (AS 16626) from Telia, which will increase the performance of the formerly all-Cogent transit network, providing cost-effective connectivity options to AtlantaNAP customers.
